The Perfect Burn

Today I’m burning Sandalwood.

With every Candle sale I include a little card about how to get the most out of your candle.

I’m also reflecting on the ‘safety labels’ all candle makers stick to the bottom of the vessel.

I guess it has to go somewhere!

From the big brand companies right down to your local Artisans, we all place the sticker on the bottom of the vessel. Some may also have instructions on the packaging.

So this is for you my lovely customers.

This is the perfect burn.

Away from draft or flammable material, out of reach, flat surface and a perfect melt pool.

If you extinguish the candle prior to this point, with un-melted wax at the edge of the vessel, you will most likely end up with tunnelling.

First burn at least 2 hours, subsequent burns no more than 4 hours.
